Join your Neighbors in being proactive

NEWELL'S CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH!!!

KICKOFF AND TRAINING
Tuesday, November 13, 2007; 6:30P.M.

Nellie Hughes Stokes Elementary School

Even if you don't feel that you can help by patrolling the neighborhood, you can be

a vital part of the success of this organization. You can also particiate by being a "window watcher," just noticing what is going on around your residence, and reporting any unusual activity or occurrence. We also plan to set-up a phone tree to keep the neighborhood apprised of any incidents that have occurred, and to quash any rumors that may be flosting around.

Please join us on the 13th if you feel you can contribute to the organization-even in ways we might not have considered. Our success will depend on the participation of every resident of the community. Anyone over the age of 16(teenagers working with their parents)is welcome to participate.

The Camden Police Dept. will be helping us withthe training, and once we are up and running, will be providing vests, flashlights, and other appropriate equipment.

We look forward to seeing you on the 13th.

The Newell"s Creek Neighborhood Association's Meeting

will immediately follow.

This will be a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, elect officers for 2008.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Don't forget your covered dishes.

and your election ballots.

Please include your name and any contact information with your comments.

Neighborhood Watch Training

..::!! This is in addition to the normal NA Meetings !!::..

Date: Thurday, September 27, 2007
Time: 7:00 PM
Location: Nelly Stokes Elementary

Capitan Melvin Gary will be showing us the correct way to organize and operate a Neighborhood Watch. We realize there are people in Newell's Creek that don't see the gathering of individuals that warrants this effort, as it doesn't happen on every street. Please join us in this effort to learn how to protect our homes and unite the community.

If you did not sign the petition at the last meeting, let us know that you're coming so we will have adequate material for all. Call 302-697-2110 or 302-331-3906.

What's new around Newells Creek

We have been approved to have our meetings at the water authority Meeting room
for the months when the Nelly Stokes school will be closed for vacation

Don Mulrane, City Planner for Camden has agreed to be our speaker for June.

Our speaker for May is Home Depots Garden Specialist and one of our homeowners. He promises some great tips on the soil in Newells Creek and the best plants for Delaware.

Home Depot is also giving plants for about 20 homeowners who attend the meeting.
We haven't discussed how they will be distributed or who will receive the plants.
Any suggestions?

We have only two more units to be sold by Ryland Homes.

Yard sale is being scheduled for May; Cook-out for June.

Our Beautification & Review committee is up and running, having been given the responsibility of pre-permit approval by town of Camden.

Please include your name and any contact information with your comments.

Subject: Patriot windows

Email from Al Sanchez

I just want to inform you that I was able to communicate with Patriot Windows about my situation. They have already sent out 2 different window/sliding door installers. One from Maryland and the other from New Jersey. The installers from Maryland came out and replaced the weather strips, but to no avail. The installer from New Jersey came out and surveyed the drafts that are coming through the windows and sliding door. He informed me that Patriot Windows are going to send out an engineer from their company to inspect and survey their products. He also informed me that if anyone else in the community are have the same problem, to contact Patriot Windows ASAP, so they can resolve and correct the problems. The phone is 1-800-999-8400 ext.6730 or 1-800-220-2021 ext. 3426.

Al Sanchez

Ps: Not all homes have Patriot Windows!
